Davis, California – Backyard weddings have always been a common trend for many years. Recently, Stage CMDR Sacramento Branch, received a phone call to design & install a sub floor that would essentially cover the entire ground in a backyard of a house. This would allow the client to host a wedding reception for around 175 guests for their son. The only way the client would be able to host the reception at his house was if they not only cover the pool, but also have the entire area surrounding the pool match the top of the pool cover. Stage CMDR is the only company on the entire West Coast and Central United States that specializes in these type of projects.

The pool itself was rather large and had many diagonal edges to the overall shape of the pool. The pool was covered with Stage CMDR’s “Plexi Commander Stage Decks” and was installed by Stage CMDR’s “Underwater Stage Scaffold Dive Team.” The surrounding areas around the pool were filled in with Stage CMDR’s standard black “Commander Stage Decks” to make the entire backyard one level even grade. Dive team members placed LED fixtures the pool to illuminate the clear portion over the pool.

The finished project made way for a clear dance floor over the pool portion and the surrounding black edges housed all the tables and chairs for the reception dinner.
