SXSW – Massive Powerpuff Girls Anchored By Stage CMDR Commander Water Ballast Tanks

Austin, Texas – One of the many rental projects provided by Stage CMDR for the 2016 South by Southwest Festival were “Commander Water Ballast” Tanks to anchor down life size Powerpuff Girl balloons. These massive balloons needed to be anchored down with a certain amount of dead weight to keep them from floating away.

The overall scope of this project was part of a free SXSW outdoor film series and its purpose was to promote the newly re-imagined “The Powerpuff Girls.” The screening is amongst the first in the world to see episodes from the new series.

This event took place the Austin’s infamous entertainment venue, The Long Center. This venue does not allow fork lift access to certain areas where some of the balloons needed to be. This is the perfect recipe for needing to utilize Stage CMDR’s, “Commander Water Ballast” tanks. They can be placed anywhere without the use of a fork lift and filled with water. When they are all the way full, they provide 2500# of dead weight.
