For the last 16 years, Rotary International hosts its Garbolino Seafood Dinner in Roseville, California. With over 450 in attendance, this special event is reserved for the local club chapter that contains some of the city’s top executives, business owners, city officials, politicians, along with their guests. This event has raised over $390,000 over the last decade to benefit the local community that supports all of its charitable endeavors.
This year, the club has selected Stage CMDR, Inc. as their lighting & staging vendor. For staging, Stage CMDR provided sound wing stages for speakers to be placed on top of. These sound wing stages were plotted at a certain height and in specific areas to maximize the sounds company’s system acoustic requirements that enabled maximum room coverage. For lighting, STAGECMDR designed a lighting design concept that enhanced the events “Pirate” theme. This included using Tomcat black box truss, ETC lekos with custom Rotary International gobos and Pirate themed gobos from Apollo & ROSCO, Arri fresnels to provide flood lighting to illuminate the silent auction table, High End Systems and Martin moving lights that doubled up for effects and stage lighting. And a grandMA console to control it all.
Rave reviews flooded the entire room all night long stating “This was the best Annual Seafood Dinner yet!”
CEO of Stage CMDR, Inc. Mark Davide – “The success of this event was a team effort by all those involved in the planning & execution of each area. Because the club’s planning committee was open to trying something never done before, it allowed us to create an environment that transformed a bare sports building into a themed entertainment event for all the guests that attended.”
